    Home of the Iconic Saguaro
Saguaros are native to the Sonoran Desert and grow primarily in southern and central Arizona, including around Tucson and Phoenix. They’re most abundant near Tucson, where protected areas like Saguaro National Park showcase some of the densest populations. These iconic cacti can live over 150 years and grow taller than a two-story house.

America’s First UNESCO City of Gastronomy
Recognized by UNESCO, Tucson’s food scene is rooted in over 4,000 years of agricultural history, blending Indigenous, Mexican, and Southwestern influences.

One of the Best Stargazing Cities in the U.S.
Thanks to strict light pollution laws and nearby observatories like Kitt Peak National Observatory, Tucson offers exceptionally clear night skies and some of the best stargazing in the country.

    A Gold-Level Bike City
Tucson is designated a Gold-Level Bicycle Friendly Community, with “The Loop,” a 130+ mile car-free path connecting much of the city.

    Surrounded by Five Mountain Ranges
Tucson is uniquely positioned among five mountain ranges, offering constant scenic views and easy access to outdoor adventure.

    300+ Days of Sunshine
With more than 300 sunny days each year, Tucson offers reliable, beautiful weather that makes it easy to explore year-round.
