If you’re coming from elsewhere in Arizona, you already know the heat—but Tucson in early June has its own feel.
Expect hot, dry conditions, typically in the 90s to low 100s during the day
Mornings are usually comfortable; evenings stay warm
Very low humidity compared to other parts of the state
What’s Different (and Worth Noting)
Desert sun hits differently → more intense midday exposure
Campus walking (especially at the University of Arizona) can add up quickly
Indoor spaces will be well air-conditioned, so temperature swings are real
What to Plan For
Lightweight, breathable clothing
Comfortable shoes for walking between buildings
A water bottle (you’ll use it)
A light layer for indoor sessions
👉 Even if you’re used to Arizona heat, plan for a bit more sun exposure + movement than a typical workday
Take advantage of early mornings or evenings to enjoy Tucson—those are often the best parts of the day.
